Our founders
City Society is a labor of love for our two extraordinary founders—Dr. Brian Reuben and Jen Reuben.
They say opposites attract, and it’s true. This dynamic duo has worked side by side for years as leaders in their own spaces. One day they realized they could do more together than they could do apart.
On that day, City Society was born.
Dr. Reuben is a perfectionist who thrives on the challenges and the pursuit of mastery. He is an expertly trained, double board certified Plastic Surgeon. He spent 6 years in general surgery residency and completed his plastic surgery training at one of the top 5 plastic surgery programs in the country at the University of Pittsburgh. He has also studied under the top Plastic Surgeons in the world for his specialties.
Behind his commitment to excellence is a passion for making a difference. Dr. Reuben's concern for patients increased after his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. Caring for her during this time opened his eyes to the gaps in care provided to patients. He channeled his love for his mother into his work and dedicated his life to mastering his skills in reconstructive surgery and plastic surgery—and going further to introduce higher standards of care to the aesthetic industry because he believes in putting patients, rather than marketing, first. Dr. Reuben has a brilliant mind equaled by a caring heart. Enter Jen Reuben. Jen Reuben is a powerhouse entrepreneur who is well known for her successful wellness brands and studios. She is the founder of Salt Lake Power Yoga, PEAK 45, and Siren Movement and a sought after speaker, teacher and board member. She is known as a major contributor to the life and energy of the city. She is a heart centered leader who is devoted to creating transformation. Her secret to success is community. From her employees and students, to the hundreds of people she leads in her joyful style of yoga on the lawns of the capitol building and beyond, her super power is bringing people together in connection and joy.
City Society is a revolutionary new concept for practitioners who are not looking to work in hospitals and medical spas, but who want to be independent and rewarded more for being at the top of their game. City Society offers beautiful and functional spaces for lease—that can include access to our lasers and devices, the license of our on-site medical director, and more. Citizens share a common waiting room, hang-out and social spaces that bring a network of patients into one location.
